Dr Luo Li

Assistant Professor of Law

Dr Luo Li is an Assistant Professor of Law at Coventry Law School, where she teaches a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in intellectual property law. Prior to joining Coventry Law School, she gained professional experience at the Law and Legislative Advice Division of the World Intellectual Property Organization.

Dr Li’s research is interdisciplinary in nature and focuses on intellectual property law, emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence and digitalisation—as well as cultural heritage and the creative economy. She is the author of a high‑quality research monograph published by Springer and has published widely in peer‑reviewed journals, including the European Intellectual Property Review and the Queen Mary Journal of Intellectual Property. Her work also includes book chapters with leading academic publishers such as Routledge. In addition, she is the co‑editor of Global Pandemic, Technology and Business: Comparative Explorations of COVID‑19 and the Law (Routledge).

Dr Li has served as an Associate Editor of the Queen Mary Journal of Intellectual Property and currently acts as a peer reviewer for the Queen Mary Journal of Intellectual Property and the International Journal of Cultural Policy. She is also a Grant Reviewer in the field of cultural heritage for the National Social Science Academy in Poland and was a visiting scholar at the University of Copenhagen in 2016.
